On May 28, 2025, the Torrey Pines La Jolla Rotary Club welcomed Captain Sheldon Margolis, USN (Ret.), a distinguished Vietnam War veteran and lifelong public servant. Over a remarkable 30-year Navy career, Captain Margolis held command at sea and played a pivotal role in the development of the Aegis Combat System.
Following his military service, he continued to lead with impact—serving as Executive Director of the Veterans Museum at Balboa Park and currently as CFO of the Navy League San Diego Council.
